Research Question: Which type of education is more beneficial to your child and his academic development:public school or home school?
Thesis Statement: Homeschooling can definitely be beneficial depending on the child and what type of learner they are but realistically public schools provides more of the critical components a child needs (claim) in order to be successful in society, including; school curriculum, the environment and most importantly social interaction. (reasons)

You did a good job answering your research question and your claim and where you stand is clear, you might just want to make it a little more brief and to the point. Although homeschool may be beneficial maybe for the sake of making a more compact thesis statement you could leave that out of the thesis and just talk about it in the body and maybe a little in the intro too. Other than that I think it's a good thesis statement in my opinion and it provides a layout for the rest of the paper.

ReplyDeleteI believe your thesis would be better as a consise statement maybe leaving out the part about the benifits of homeschooling. The reasons are a good blueprint for your paper.
